Exploring Provence...

A few ideas for exploring a magnificent and diverse region…

Our location in the heart of Provence, between sea and hills, is a superb incentive to go out discovering the sites in the area.
The coastal towns and their beaches, Arles and Nîmes, the Pont du Gard, the Pont d’Avignon and the Avignon's Papal city, Les Baux de Provence… The bigger towns and cities such as Aix-en-Provence, Arles, Marseille... Natural sites: the Alpilles, the Montagne Sainte-Victoire, the Camargue, the Côte Bleue, the Calanques, the Luberon... and much, much more…

Some of our tips to enhance your stay further still
Over a five-day stay:
Day 1 : Salon-de-Provence

Visit of the medieval city with its castle and museums: the Empéri, the Maison Nostradamus, the famed Fontaine Moussue, the Clock tower, the Collégiale Saint-Laurent. You can wander the pleasantly renovated pedestrian streets and cours, maybe stopping at a café terrace for a refreshing drink, before visiting some of Salon's boutiques for a spot of shopping.
Day 2 : Arles (44km)
Its Romanesque arenas and its spas, which date back to the reign of Emperor Constantine, the Nature reserve of Camargue on the Capelière trail, or, if you are looking for vast open spaces, why not take for a bike ride through the countryside to the west of Arles until you reach Saliers.

Day 3 : The Alpilles (31 km)
A visit of Baux-de-Provence. The views over the whole valley and the Camargue are breathtaking. You can then round off your day with a visit of bustling Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Day 4 : Avignon (49 km)
The Papal City and the famous Pont d'Avignon. You could then visit the Pont du Gard, the tallest Roman aqueduct still standing. This remarkable structure features on UNICEF's World heritage List.
Day 5 : Carry-le-Rouet (56 km) and Sausset-les-Pins
Two delightful towns on the Côte Bleue - the well-named 'Blue Coast'. You can follow the path which leads along the Carry seafront, offering splendid vistas over the immense rocky beaches. From the very start of the trail, you can see numerous fossils on the rocky cliffsides.
